Frequently Asked Questions Is the total I see after placing an order what I will be charged and am I being charged at this time? No, the total you are given is a quote with the highest amount of what you could possibly pay. This quote includes all new prices for books as well as a shipping charge. If you selected used books then the price could go down if we have used in stock, the price would also go down if you selected to pick up your books instead of having them shipped through UPS. You are not charged until we process your order. What should I do if I am having difficulties with the Website? Please call 1-800-999-6488. How will I know if there is an issue with my order? Any orders that have an issue we will contact through email. Therefore it is imperative the email address we are given is correct and one that is checked on a regular basis. Who’s name should be put on the order? No matter who is paying for the order the person that will be picking it up should have their name on it. If it is Financial Aid it must be the students name with the Financial Aid account. How will I know when my order is ready for pick-up? We ask that you allow 48 hours for an order to be processed especially during our busy time which is the week before classes and the first week of classes. Once your order is processed you will receive an automatic email informing you it is ready for pick-up or that it has been shipped. What do I need to bring in order to pick up my order? If you are picking up a Financial Aid order then you must have your NIU One Card, if it is a credit/debit card order you will need some form of ID. Can anyone pick up my order? If it is a Financial Aid order the student with the Financial Aid must pick it up and sign for it. If it is a credit/debit card order then anyone that has their name on the order can pick it up. How do I find my Financial Aid number? Your Financial Aid number is located on the front of your NIU One Card at the bottom; it is not your Z-ID. Financial Aid has a $700 limit. Anything above that must be paid via cash or credit card. Can I ship my order to my house if I am paying with Financial Aid? No, all Financial Aid orders must be picked-up in the store.
